New Ryanair CEO appointed to replace Michael O’Leary

Ryanair has announced the successor to their current Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Michael O’Leary. The company announced Friday that the replacement for O’Leary will be Eddie Wilson, who’s been in Ryanair for 22 years and is currently working as a Chief People Officer.

With the promotion of Wilson, Michael O’Leary will move up to the role of CEO of the Ryanair Group and Wilson will still report to his superior Michael O’Leary.

Over the years, the Ryanair Group has diversified its offerings and now consists of several airlines, including Austrian airline Laudamotion and Ryanair Buzz, and some of O’Leary’s tasks will be to strengthen these brands.
