According to a new study by Expedia and Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) it actually turns out that Sunday is the best day to book both economy and premium flight tickets.

According to the study the main findings for saving as much money on flight tickets as possible are:
- Search for the cheapest prices on weekends. Sunday is the cheapest day to book you tickets. The most expensive day to book is Thursday and Friday.
- Book your flight early. Booking at least three weeks beforehand for economy and premium flight tickets will result in much cheaper fares. Usually the prices increase, the closer you are to the departure date.
- Have flexibility with your departure date; according to global trends, Thursday and Fridays tend to be the cheapest day to departure for most economy and premium tickets, and can save upwards to 10% on the flight tickets.
